1. Why are we sharing the transport information so early in Oct 2025?

So that you can factor it in when deciding whether to join the camp and which transport option to take. Having your responses early also helps us plan more accurately and keep the costs fair for everyone.

2. What if I need to travel with baby/child seats?

You might like to consider driving or taking the cross-border taxi option or public transport, as the chartered shared bus/van may not have compatible seatbelts.

(B) Chartered Shared Transport

3. How is the cost for the chartered shared transport determined?


  • The total cost of the vehicle (bus or van) is shared equally among all passengers taking that option.
  • The final cost per person depends on how many people choose each transport type and their budget preferences.
  • Once everyone has indicated their transport choice, we will share the estimated cost for each option.
  • If one option (e.g. bus) has fewer expected passengers, the cost per person will probably be higher than for the other option (e.g. van).
  • In previous years, more participants chose the van, so those who initially selected the bus often switched after seeing the price difference.
  • This year, we’ll also inform everyone before confirming bookings, so you can decide whether to stay with your current choice or switch to the other option.

4. When will the cost for the chartered shared transport be confirmed?


The final transport cost for camp will be confirmed by 1 May 2026, once everyone’s transport arrangements have been finalized. If you can indicate your preferences (by 1 March 2026) and confirm your participation, it will greatly help us plan and coordinate transport more efficiently.


Update: As of 22 Feb 2026, majority have indicated van as their preference so the van price is around $15 per pax per way. The bus price has increased to around $30 per pax per way due to the lower numbers.

5. When do I make payment for the chartered shared transport?


Wait for the transport invoice to be sent to your email before you make payment. The invoice will contain all the payment details. The invoice will be sent by 15 May 2026.

6. What if I need to travel with a pram?

It will be considered as one luggage. Kindly indicate this in your response form.
